Joseph Herbst

Composer, arranger, copyist, and woodwindist Joseph Herbst uses music as a medium for storytelling. In 2021, Joseph released his debut album, This is Our Environment, a project that brings together original music, spoken word, and environmental justice. Works in progress include his first big band album, Into the Void of My Dreams, which tells a story of personal change through an original story of a person entering into their Dreamworld, and his theatrical show for with his 13-piece chamber ensemble, Ghosts in the Mirror, exploring internalized messages and how we choose to confront or ignore them.
