Chamber Music America is located and operates on the homeland of the Munsee Lenape (Lenapehoking). Historically, the land on which New York City sits was a gathering place for the Lenape and a diaspora of indigenous people. The Lenape continue to live, work, and contribute to life on this land. New York City has one of the largest urban Native American and Indigenous populations in the United States. We invite you to learn more about the Native history in your area.

Chamber Music America also recognizes that our country was built on the labor of enslaved people, primarily of African descent, and recognizes the continued contributions of their descendants today. We acknowledge all immigrant and indigenous labor, whether voluntary, forced, or undocumented that have contributed to the building of the country and New York City, and continue to serve within the labor force of the United States.
