Roland barber

The Roland Barber Quintet began in the early 2000’s, based in NYC. That configuration consisted of a supporting cast including Rahsaan Barber, Allyn Johnson, Jon Benitez and Ulysses Owens. I have since moved back to my Native Nashville, TN, and my current ensemble (as I am) is based in Nashville, TN. Our influences center around mainstream jazz, with forays into other soundscapes that have been impactful along the way for me (most notably Afro-Cuban, Caribbean, NOLA traditional flavor, gospel and Blues-centric musics).
