Acclaimed for their “wildly personal, intercultural, modern music…that could be performed anywhere,” bi-coastal duo Caballito Negro (“dark little horse”) curates, commissions, composes and performs innovative work in festivals, concert series, schools, museums, and public parks across the USA. Polymathic in style, media and instruments, flutist Tessa Brinckman and percussionist Terry Longshore collaborate with prominent international artists, offering unique masterclasses exploring interdisciplinary forms. Projects (2024) include multiple nation-wide performances (funded by CMA and Manhattan Arts Grants) of their Juri Seo commission for a 2 flute/2 percussion quartet , and single/video release of Wally Gunn’s Bare White Bones.
