Anthony Branker & Imagine
Composer Anthony Branker has been named “Rising Star Composer” in Down Beat magazine’s 62nd and 63rd Annual Critics Polls and has nine releases on Origin Records. His recordings have featured such artists as Donny McCaslin, Walter Smith III, Philip Dizack, Remy Le Boeuf, Fabian Almazan, Linda May Han Oh, Rudy Royston, Pete McCann, Donald Edwards, Ralph Bowen, David Binney, Jim Ridl, Kenny Davis, Tia Fuller, Steve Wilson, Clifford Adams, Andy Hunter, and Ralph Peterson. Dr. Branker held an endowed chair in jazz studies and was founding director of the Program in Jazz Studies at Princeton University where he taught for 27 years. Currently, he is adjunct professor in jazz studies at Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts.
