The Buffalo Chamber Music Society, the second oldest Society in the United States, will celebrate the 100th season in 2023-24. To honor the occasion the Society has commissioned a string quartet to be composed by Pulitzer winning composer Jennifer Higdon. The quartet will receive its premiere by the Aizuri Quartet at the opening concert on October 3. Other artists for the 100th seaosn include the Danish String Quartet, Takacs Quartet, Juilliard Quartet, Manhattan Chamber Players, Doric Quartet and the Frautschi/ Nokamatsu/Manasee Trio.
