Red Cedar Chamber Music

Red Cedar Chamber Music’s mission is to enrich the well-being of our community through innovative, educational, and collaborative chamber music programs of the highest caliber.

Founded in 1997, Red Cedar is a self-presenting, not-for-profit organization based in Marion, Iowa. Executive Director Miera Kim (violin) and Artistic Director Carey Bostian (cello) form the core ensemble. Guest artists are added as repertoire dictates.

Red Cedar has received major grant support from the National Endowment for the Arts (funded our Rural Outreach program for 19 years) and Chamber Music America, and has commissioned 72 new works and had six composers-in-residence.
