Zed

Founded in the fall of 2023, Zed is a saxophone quartet based in Austin, Texas. In 2024, they won the Silver Medal in the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, Senior Winds Division and Second Prize at the NOLA Chamber Fest. They were also finalists at the Coltman Chamber Music Competition. Zed is committed to community engagement and is passionate about putting on local concerts and masterclasses in the Austin area. They recently performed at KMFA, Austin’s classical music radio station, as part of their Midday Concert Series. Zed is excited to commission composers and perform works from various genres and backgrounds.
