David Ross Manson

David R. Manson is a composer, trombonist, educator and music presenter.

His recordings include “Modern Music for Trombone”, “Beast” “Particle Zoo”, “Fluid Motion” with jazz legend Sam Rivers, “Infinita Bossa”, “A Kiss for Rio”, “Go!” and “Aberto” with Brazilian band O Som Do Jazz and “Radiant Forces” with the Helios Jazz Orchestra.

He directs the nonprofit EMIT series. Over 28 years, David has presented over 600 concerts of new and adventurous music and educational activities through EMIT.

Recent television placements of his original music include shows on HBO, Fox, BBC, CW, ABC and AMC. He is founder and director of the annual St. Petersburg Jazz Festival, in its 15th season.
