Edward Simon, a Venezuelan-born jazz virtuoso, has carved his mark in American jazz as a versatile pianist, composer, and bandleader. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, his explorations in melding jazz with Latin American folkloric sounds have garnered acclaim. A member of the esteemed SFJAZZ Collective, Simon has been a Guggenheim Fellow and recipient of multiple composition grants. With 17 albums to his credit, he’s hailed for his sophisticated compositions and emotive improvisations.  Winner of the NAACP Image Award, Simon continues to push the boundaries of jazz as a 2024 Lucas Artist Program Fellow.
