Cecilia Smith Ensemble and Duo

Cecilia Smith is a leading vibist of 4-mallet technique. Her duo  & sextet includes Lafayette Harris pno, Carlton Holmes organ, Kenny Davis bass, Ron Savage drums, & Carla Cook voc.

An avid composer with 7 CD releases, her recent CD, THE MARY LOU WILLIAMS RESURGENCE PROJECT (MLWRP) Small Ensemble Repertoire, Volume 1 was  funded through a CMA PROJECT GRANT. She has received commissions and grants including, several CMA Grants, 2 NEA AWARDS, JOYCE AWARD, Elizabeth Swados Award, and presented a TEDx TALK. She is the Artistic Director for the MLWRP which includes small ensemble, big band and choir. Smith hails from Cleveland Hts. OH and lives in Park Slope Brooklyn. https://ceciliasmith.com/
