Berkshires Jazz, Inc.

After initially operating under the fiscal agency of the Berkshire Music School, Berkshires Jazz, Inc.  registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2008 and became an independent 501c3 in January, 2009. Our initial activity, the Pittsfield CityJazz Festival, was developed and produced by volunteers who continued, year after year, to successfully present jazz artists and conduct educational programs. Our mission is to preserve Jazz, America’s indigenous art form and nurture its growth by presenting high quality jazz programs, fostering jazz education and promoting the local jazz scene.

We operate with an all-volunteer board, presenting rising artists, established musicians, and jazz masters in a variety of settings.
