Trevor Weston
Trevor Weston’s honors include an Arts and Letters Award in Music and a Goddard Lieberson Fellowship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and residencies from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, MacDowell. He received a JACK Quartet Studio Recording Project for his string quartets. Weston won the first Emerging Black Composers Project award, which commissioned Push, premiered by the San Francisco Symphony, Esa-Pekka Salonen, conductor. Dr. Weston is currently Professor of Music, Chair of the Music Department at Drew University, Madison, NJ, and an instructor for the MAP and Pre-College programs at the Juilliard School, NYC.
