Austin Chamber Music Center

The Austin Chamber Music Center creates chamber music experiences that connect, educate, and inspire our community. ACMC offers year-round education programs for all ages and experience levels to learn to play chamber music with peers, and explore music composition and other electives. Led by Artistic Director Dr. Michelle Schumann, ACMC produces a full year of eclectic chamber concerts. ACMC’s annual nationwide Coltman Chamber Music Competition provides performance experience and expert commentary to advanced applicants. In 2015 ACMC was awarded the CMAcclaim award from Chamber Music America for its tremendous impact on the local community through chamber music, recognizing the organization’s success in pursuing its mission since 1981.
