Karen Slack, soprano

Hailed for possessing a voice of extraordinary beauty and great dramatic depth, American soprano Karen Slack has garnered international renown for her artistic versatility. A recipient of the 2022 Sphinx Medal of Excellence, known for her dynamic performances in both the operatic and concert stage as a sought-after collaborator and  curator for her ground-breaking approach. Artistic Advisor for Portland Opera, Women’s Opera Network (co-chair) with Opera America, and serves on the board of the American Composer’s Orchestra. She has appeared with the Metropolitan, Lyric Opera Chicago, Washington National, San Francisco, Houston ,Vancouver and Scottish Opera. Most recently at Tanglewood festival with the Pacifica Quartet.
