KAIA String Quartet

From the tango of Piazzolla to the string quartets of Silvestre Revueltas, the KAIA String Quartet is an ensemble devoted to promoting the rich and colorful music of Latin America. The Quartet plays an active role in Chicago’s music scene and beyond performing in the US and South America. Celebrated for their ability to “beautifully blur the lines between jazz, classical, Latin and world music”, KAIA frequently collaborates with musicians outside the classical norm. Devoted music educators, the quartet regularly presents interactive concerts in elementary schools and has created a KAIA Kids video series introducing children to the music of Latin America.
