Ritual Being

Led by composer/pianist Pascal Le Boeuf, Ritual Being is a jazz/classical hybrid ensemble ranging from 5-9 players. They came together in 2015 as part of collaboration between Le Boeuf and Shattered Glass (conductor-less string ensemble). After the release of Shattered Glass’ debut album in 2017 they continued performing new works by Jessie Montgomery, Caroline Shaw, Le Boeuf, and others. Simultaneously, Le Boeuf formed Ritual Being with musicians from Shattered Glass and his piano trio Pascal’s Triangle (bassist Linda May Han Oh and drummer Justin Brown) to specialize in performing contemporary compositions with an emphasis on rhythmic counterpoint. In 2023 Pascal Le Boeuf released the album “Ritual Being” on SoundSpore Records.
