Daniela Schachter

Jazz vocalist, pianist and composer. At young age was performing in Sicily, Italy. Moved to Boston MA as recipient of a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music, where she studied with Joanne Brackeen. Daniela has won the Mary Lou Williams Jazz Piano Competition 2005, The Sister in Jazz Competition 2002; performed at international jazz festival all over the world with Tiger Okoshi, Randi Brecker, Patti Austin and Kevin Mahogany among others. She has also been conducted by Quincy Jones and Jerry Goldsmith. Daniela was guest of  Marian McPartland Piano Jazz radio program in 2006. She released 4 albums as a leader, now residing in Boston; teaching at Berklee College of Music and Brown University.
