Jon De Lucia's Luce Trio

The Luce Trio is Jon De Lucia’s baroque inspired group featuring guitarist Tatsuya Sakurai and bassist Aidan O’Donnell.
The group recorded their first album of early music interpretations in 2012, at the St. Ann and The Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn Heights. Since then they have performed live on WQXR’s Bach Lounge at the Greene Space, been played on numerous radio stations worldwide, and performed at the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival.

Their new release, out Spring 2023, is And the Stars Were Shining. Recorded at Big Orange Sheep studio in Brooklyn, NY, the album focuses more on the music of classically influenced jazz composers like John Lewis, Jimmy Giuffre and Dave Brubeck along with Italian arias by Puccini and Cardillo.
