Jawanza Kobie

Jawanza Kobie has composed music for Theater, Award winning Films, and Television for productions in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Boston, showcased on PBS, ABC and other networks over his music career. He released his 1st critically acclaimed CD as a solo artist ‘Feels Better Than It Sounds’ in 2013.

A former Philadelphia School Music Teacher, Jawanza has won the Jazz Residency from the Philadelphia Kimmel Center as well as becoming a Teaching Artist & Artist in Residence at the Mann Center for The Performing Arts in Philadelphia Pa.

He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music.
