Vicki Purslow

Dr. Purslow is the Music Department Chair and Professor of Music at Southern Oregon University. She is co-director of the Ashland Chamber Music Workshop. Purslow earned a Doctor of Education in Music Education from University of the Pacific and is a professional saxophonist who has performed with The Four Tops, The Temptations, Mary Wilson (the Supremes), Funk Brothers, Bobby Shew, Maynard Ferguson, Stan Mark, Joe Williams, Morgan James, Mel Torme, Rogue Valley Symphony, Britt Festival Orchestra and the Mazama Saxophone Quartet. She is a published arranger of music for saxophone ensembles.
