Chicago: Apply to Be a Teaching Artist

CMA is now accepting applications for Sound Journeys and Echoes of the City—two creative engagement initiatives that build connections between professional artists and students at The People’s Music School, a tuition-free music school serving children in the Chicago metropolitan area. These are paid opportunities.

Members of CMA’s Chicago-based constituency who are interested in participating in the projects as teaching artists are encouraged to apply; applications are being accepted through November 20, 2025.

Most performances during the conference will take place on Saturday, August 22. CMA Member ensembles are welcome to apply for a 20-minute performance slot, most of which will be held onstage at The Museum of Contemporary Art. Submit a Session Proposal for CMA's 2026 Conference

Conference sessions will take place between 10am and 5pm on August 20, 21, or 22 in The Drake Hotel. Sessions should be no longer than 60 minutes in length.
