The 2024 Performance Plus Grantees Announced
CMA Awards More than $197,000 in Support of Female- and Gender Minority-Led Jazz Ensembles
Today, Chamber Music America (CMA), the national network for ensemble music professionals, has announced the distribution of $197,900 in awards to support 13 jazz ensembles led by women and gender-minority artists. In addition to the funding, CMA’s Performance Plus program connects the ensembles with experienced artist-educators for evaluative listening sessions and recording projects.
The 2024 grantees were selected after an adjudication process by an independent peer panel in late winter 2024. Individual awards up to $21,500, will be used to support ensembles across four major regions in the United States: the Northeast, Midwest, South, and West.
The Performance Plus grant program is supported by The Doris Duke Foundation. The grantees and the artist-educator coaches are outlined below.

Chamber Music America, the national network of ensemble music professionals, was founded in 1977 to develop, strengthen, and support the chamber music community. With a membership including musicians, ensembles, presenters, artists’ managers, educators, music businesses, and advocates of ensemble music, CMA welcomes members representing a wide range of musical styles and traditions.
