Lydian String Quartet
The Lydian String Quartet, founded in 1980, are artists-in-residence and music faculty members at Brandeis University. Top prize winners in international string quartet competitions including Evian, Portsmouth, Banff and Naumberg, the Lydians’ 29 commercially available albums demonstrate their mastery of a broad range of repertoire. Programming includes all of the standard canon of classical, romantic and 20th century string quartet l literature, in addition to numerous world premieres of works by living composers.
