keystring is an unusual trio comprised of Anne Kunkle (saxophone), William Pyle (saxophone) and Elizabeth Wheelwright Mayo (harp). The group first collaborated to perform Claude Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune with the Eastman Saxophone Project, and wanted to further explore the expressive and sonic possibilities of harp and saxophone collaboration. As part of this pursuit, they have created original arrangements, commissioned new music by Amy Nam, and are now in collaboration with imaginative composers and sound artists.
