Dr. Cynthia Cozette Lee is an international award-winning Black American contemporary classical composer, librettist, arranger, producer, director, flutist, author and educator. Cozette has written for opera, orchestra, solo voice, instruments, choral and chamber ensembles. Her music has been performed in Europe, the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico with such distinguished organizations as the Orchestre Symphonique du Loiret,  OperaCréole, Washington National Opera Summer Institute, Concert of Colors Detroit Music Festival, Peabody Institute Conservatory of Music, National Association of Negro Musicians, Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia and the Women of Color Festival New York.
